Little Moments

Childhood has a funny way of slipping by.

One day you're cutting grapes into tiny pieces, tying little shoes, and reading the same bedtime story for the hundredth time.

Then somehow those little hands aren't so little anymore.

I've heard people say, "You'll miss these days someday."

I don't want to wait until they're over to appreciate them.

I want to notice them while I'm living them.

That's what Little Moments is all about.

Not creating Pinterest-perfect memories.

Not planning elaborate activities every weekend.

Not feeling pressure to entertain our kids every waking moment.

Just making space for the little moments that often become the biggest memories.

Sometimes that's baking cookies together.

Sometimes it's coloring at the kitchen table.

Sometimes it's reading one more chapter before bed.

Sometimes it's teaching my kids how to cook, helping them plant flowers, taking a family walk, or laughing together over a game that nobody actually knows the rules to.

And sometimes...

The best memories happen when we weren't trying to make memories at all.

As I've shared throughout this website, my "why" starts with God, and my family is a very close second.

Everything else exists to support those priorities.

That means I'm less interested in filling our calendar...

...and more interested in filling our days.

I want our children to remember that home was a place where they were loved.

Where they were encouraged.

Where they were welcomed.

Where they learned to serve others.

Where they laughed often.

Where they knew they belonged.

This page isn't about crafts.

It's about connection.

It's about simple ideas that bring families together and remind us that the ordinary moments we're living today often become the stories we tell tomorrow.

Because I have a feeling...

These are the good old days.

Let's make the most of them.
